Melissa D. White: The Activation Coach Empowering Entrepreneurs to Align Faith and Business in her New Book The Entrepreneurial Prophet
Melissa D. White is a woman on a mission. As a licensed minister, international speaker, media host and producer, certified life coach, and youth advocate, she has dedicated her life to “Activating the Voices of The Unseen & Unheard in Kingdom, Corporate, and Community.” With her new book, “The Entreprenurial Prophet,” Melissa takes her mission to the next level and inspires entrepreneurs to align their faith and business practices by serving God and establishing kingdom through the vehicle of business.
Melissa’s journey to becoming an Activation Coach started with finding her voice. “I was introduced to coaching while I entered my ministry training, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence that in learning how to be a coach, my coach trainer and my pastor helped me lean into casting a vision, setting personal goals, and being accountable to those goals,” she shared in a recent interview. “What started as me finding my voice and giving a voice to other people in media led to a program of coaching others to do the same thing.”
Melissa’s coaching program focuses on three areas: finding a voice in the kingdom of God as members, leaders, and church partners; finding a voice corporately in the marketplace and whatever area an individual is assigned to influence; and finding a voice in the community, whether it’s organizing the community or mobilizing initiatives. She believes that by activating one’s voice in these areas, individuals can positively impact and bring about change.
In ” The Entreprenurial Prophet,” Melissa touches on idolizing one’s business and putting it before God. “We must be careful not to make the mistake of idolizing our businesses and we must put them before God,” she writes. “We must remember that our businesses are not ours; they are His. We are stewards of what He has given us, and we must use our businesses to glorify Him and advance His kingdom.”
Melissa also emphasizes the importance of seeking God’s guidance in business decisions. “The key to deciphering between your own ambition and God’s plan for your business is first incorporating prayer, fasting, sitting, listening, and seeking into your business strategy,” she shares. “Discern where God needs your attention at that time and that season. One thing about God is His will and His way brings peace. That does not mean that it may be easy to follow through with the instructions, but no matter how hard the decision, it does bring peace within your spirit, which, therefore, will bring order into your business.”
In addition to her work as an Activation Coach and author, Melissa is also the Founder and Executive Director of Writing Our Wrongs, Inc., a global award-winning non-profit youth organization with the mission to empower youth to activate their voice through writing and speech in the areas of anti-bullying and social justice. She is passionate about activating the voice of this generation and helping them tap into their power to create change in their communities.
As a Certified Life Coach, Melissa is also the Founder and CEO of The Activation Hour®/ Activation Coaching International, where she specializes in business, leadership, and executive coaching and coaching training certifications. She is a thought leader and influencer for leadership and social reform and is a corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner.
