Meet Spiritual Growth Leader and Author Dr. Sharon Mancha
TODAY’S PURPOSE WOMAN is proud to celebrate and promote authors who are impacting the lives of others both on and off the paper. We highlight and chat with remarkable authors about their books in our series, Powerhouse Authors.
We recently spoke with Dr. Sharon Mancha, a spiritual growth leader and author of The Power of Intimacy with Christ, Trial Trauma, and Next Steps: Walking in the Spirit. Dr. Sharon is a life-long student of how people form and maintain a relationship with God and find balance with the demands of life, family, and their world. Her writing brand is transformative for forming and maintaining intimacy with God while managing the challenging things in life. She leads with her wisdom, experience with God, and her 28-plus years as a co-senior pastor with her late husband. She intimately shares her passion for whole-life fulfillment as a significant part of faith-based living.
Below is our conversation with Dr. Mancha about her books and why she feels it is essential in today’s world.
What inspired you to write your books?
I know for some, this sounds quirky, but it is real. The Holy Spirit inspired me to write while on a cruise celebrating my completion of Seminary. The Spirit of God called my name in the wee hours of the morning while asleep and told me to go out on the balcony of my suite with a pen and a piece of paper. I obeyed and sat with God, receiving writing instructions at that time.
Why do you feel your books are essential, especially now?
These books are essential now because people are hurting. They are looking for solutions, and God is the ultimate answer and can transform our being, life, and future in response to his invitation.
Who are your books for, and what do you want them to take away from reading them?
I wrote this book for those who want more than the norm. It is for those who dare to pursue and be so hungry that they won’t quit.
Is there anything else you want to share?
I would like to share that there is a supernatural kingdom and world that is present in our world, and it affects how to live, thrive, and become. God wants to bring us awareness and help us to be victors and not victims. But foundationally, the only way to really get it is to come to God for a relationship, covering, and revelation.
