Radio Show Host Dr. Angela Kinnel Is Here to Encourage and Educate the World About Jesus Christ
Dr. Angela Kinnel is an ordained minister, educator, author, public speaker, and radio show personality passionate about encouraging, motivating, and educating the world about Jesus Christ and their identity in Him. She believes that once people understand who they are in Christ, they will see themselves the way God does—victorious, fruitful, faultless, purposeful, and whole.
One of the tools Angela uses to encourage, motivate and educate is her radio show, Spiritual Fortitude with Dr. Angela Kinnel. The show airs weekly, featuring guests from all walks of life who share their stories/testimony about how applying their faith in the Lord delivered them out of adversity. “My show is very organic. I don’t have topics or pre-set questions to ask,” she says. “The interviews are just conversations which keep it authentic. My guests have included authors, car accident survivors, ministers, entertainers, cancer survivors, educators, individuals who have served time in prison, CEOs, entrepreneurs, celebrity hairstylists, and talk show hosts from TV and radio to name a few.”
Angela says each testimony shared on the show has been a unique testament to the goodness of God. “It’s a blessing when I have listeners tell me how they felt better knowing that they weren’t the only ones dealing with a situation or how they learned something new regarding the word of God. What’s awesome is when they tell me their mindset has changed from wrong thinking or wrong belief.”
Interestingly, Dr. Angela shares that her show initially started with a desire to start a podcast in 2015. She knew she wanted her show to be spiritual but had no idea where to begin. “I truly believe in God’s timing because while I didn’t actively pursue it, I knew in my heart that I was supposed to have a podcast,” she says. And then, a shift occurred when things shut down due to the pandemic. “I started listening to different radio stations on the Tune In app. I came across 102.6 The Situation and loved it! A commercial kept playing that advertised podcast services. My heart raced every time I heard it, which was for months.”
On December 4, 2020, Dr. Angela decided to step out on faith and reach out to the radio station. She presented her podcast idea to the owner, and he liked it. “I taped my first episode of Spiritual Fortitude with Dr. Angela Kinnel on February 13, 2021. It was a dream come true! Episode after episode, the audience grew consistently. The feedback was always positive. I knew that I was in ministry.”
At the end of 2021, Dr. Angela was given the opportunity to bring her podcast to the radio. Now her show is heard live on-air every Sunday at 8 am EST.
Dr. Angela wants those that are moved to listen to Spiritual Fortitude with Dr. Angela Kinnel to know that her show spreads love, educates, informs, and encourages. “We are spiritual beings who possess a soul and live in a physical body. I am charged to tap into your spirit and show you that you possess the fortitude to win in life through any circumstance through your personal relationship with God,” she says.
