June Berger: An Artist Driven by Faith and Love

June Berger is a woman with many talents, but her passion for art has been a constant throughout her life. Her unique gift is not just about creating something beautiful but also about transmitting an idea and sharing her Christian faith. Through her artwork, June has found a way to overcome challenges and give back to the community.

Growing up in a Christian home in Portland, Oregon, June was always artistic and free-spirited. She gave her life to the Lord at the age of seven but lost her father at the age of eight, leaving her feeling lost and sad. Despite the challenges she faced, June’s faith remained strong, and during her teenage years, she found solace in her church friends. However, as a young adult, she became busy with life and gave the Lord a casual nod at best.

June studied graphic design at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and had the best art training, but she struggled to find her place in the world and in her art. But despite her wandering, God was faithful and strong. With the help and discernment of a loving cousin, June rededicated her life to God and learned again about His love, power, and forgiveness. In the process, she became more of the person she was designed to be.

Today, June’s paintings combine art and faith, reflecting love, peace, forgiveness, hope, and more to help people focus on God and His Word rather than the chaos around them. Her artwork is expressed in various ways, and each painting is significant and transmits an idea. June’s Christian roots drive her desire to share what she has learned about God from the Old and New Testament passages and her own life.

CARPE DIEM Psalm 118.24 This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.
LILIES & RAVENS Luke 12.27-31 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to your life.

In creating her beautiful artwork, June draws inspiration from her scripture reading. Verses often jump out at her, and the Spirit brings scripture to mind. She writes them down and has a list, and there is always one that is impressed on her and seems to be “the next one.” She then sketches her ideas and selects the canvas, shape, and size that fits what she will paint. June’s deep connection with her life and love experience with Jesus drives her artwork, and when the painting is complete, she puts a little number on the lower right indicating the chapter and verse of the inspiration.

What makes June’s artwork even more special is that 100% of the proceeds from her paintings go to a Christian organization. Her husband, Michael, is 100% behind their decision to give all of the proceeds to the work of the Lord. They believe in being cheerful givers and want to do their part in bringing people far from God to come near and spread the love of Jesus. The proceeds go to people in full-time Christian ministry, and they recently gifted a painting to a young woman who loved it online. The painting was inspired by II Corinthians 5.17 – “If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation, the old has passed away, behold, all things become new.” June’s overarching goal for her paintings is to encourage Christ-followers and be conversation starters to help those far from God come near.

June’s journey as an artist is a story of overcoming and giving back. Through her faith, she has found a way to use her unique gift to make a difference in the world. She advises others with unique gifts to lay their loaves and fishes at God’s feet and let Him multiply them. “The process is between you and God – it’s not necessary or important to be embraced, understood, or even liked by others. The Lord will open the doors and bring the increase if it’s His plan.”

June’s story is a testament to the power of faith and the impact one person can make in the world. Through her art, she is spreading the love of Jesus and making a difference in the lives of others.
