Meet Nadia O. Clyne-Founder of The Treasured Empire
Affectionately known as the Treasured Midwife, Nadia O. Clyne is the CEO and founder of The Treasured Empire, a beauty and wellness lifestyle marketplace. The faith-based lifestyle marketplace intentionally inspires and impacts using products, services, and programs. The Treasured Empire’s mission is to be a beacon of hope and resource for anyone who values faith, peace and love through holistic beauty, wellness, and creativity.
The journey that led Nadia to her call to the marketplace began when she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 21. “My life hadn’t started yet, and here I was being told by the doctors that I would most likely have to give up and be put on disability.” Nadia recalls the doctors also told her that she wouldn’t be able to have children, along with other things that left doubt, fear and anxiety. Nadia felt lost and confused and looked to her mom for answers. When her mom told her God didn’t tell her those things, Nadia’s faith journey began. According to Nadia, the Treasured Empire was born out of desperation and the desire for more. The brands include The Treasured Beauty Lounge (Hair Salon), Treasured Beauty(Skincare), Treasured Hands (Do-It- Yourself Creative Arts Workshops), Birthing The Treasure Within(Personal Development Coaching&Consulting), and IamNadiaOlivia (Key-Note Speaking)
The Treasured Beauty Lounge is a full-service beauty salon that focuses on the health and beauty of all hair types. Birthed from Nadia’s love for hair and her ability to pour into her clients with encouragement, empowerment, and the word of God. Those who came in feeling down left Nadia’s chair with hope, grace and style.
Nadia’s skincare brand, Treasured Beauty, is a luxurious handmade organic holistic skincare and decor that provides healing and hope. When Nadia’s daughter experienced a skin allergy that led her to itch until she bled. Nadia cried for many days and nights. One day as she sat on the steps crying out to God for an answer, He led her to the issue and solution. Her daughter was allergic to gluten, leading to a skin rash called dermatitis. Using a holistic approach from her Caribbean roots, God led Nadia to create a herbal salve for her daughter’s skin called Delicate. “The results were of God. Where her skin was bloody and bruised was now healed and healthy.”
Knowing what she went through as a parent with a child with a skin allergy Nadia decided to start selling her product to help other helpless parents and children. Delicate became a complete skincare collection for irritated skin caused by eczema and dermatitis. It became a skincare experience coupled with products, affirmations, and scriptures to help heal the mind, body, and spirit.
Nadia then birthed her creative arts brand, Treasured Hands, an engaging, empowering and educational creative wellness workshop experience in beauty and creative arts. “Now, having two children born into this business, I started teaching how to make products and creative arts at Church VBS summer programs until the pandemic hit.” When 2020 came around (The first year of the pandemic), Treasured Hands expanded to teaching more than children but now adults on how to create through education, engagement and empowerment. Throughout the pandemic, classes were taught virtually worldwide, from affirming canvas art to candle making, statement bracelets, and more.

How does your work impact the lives of others?
My work impacts the lives of others by providing solutions for hair, skin, and creativity issues but more importantly for the whole individual, their family, and community because when you value yourself, you value others. We help people who understand who they are and whose they are; with that, they can create positivity and possibility. Wellness is more about a person’s lifestyle and the choices they make to maintain their health (mental, emotional, social, physical, financial, intellectual, occupational, and spiritual). Our community has seen what God has done in my life and the Empire, which creates a level of faith that only believing can give.
How do you view your work as a vocation—a call from and a duty to God?
The Treasured Empire is a call and a duty from God because there is a need for a connection between the beauty, wellness and creative gap to ensure people live intentional and purposeful lives. A life of real validation and value, especially with the beauty and creative communities. We live in a world where the beauty industry is worth over $50 billion, and the creative arts are worth over $800 billion annually.
However, 1 in 4 people experience mental health issues, and 792 million people are affected by mental health issues worldwide. Being that I was one of the affected, I felt that there was a need that had to be met to bridge the gap. I believe that self-care is essential, but the mind, body, and spirit connection is a crucial component of the wellness revolution.
Who are the women you serve?
I inspire and impact women who struggle with their worth. Women who don’t know how to value themselves, women who struggle with depression and rejection, and those who know they were called for more but don’t know what that means.
I serve women who know it’s time to get into a position for more, those who desire what God wants, and those who are ready to allow their creative gifts to make room for them. The time is NOW to birth what God has put inside of you. As a Treasured midwife, I desire to help you birth this thing out! I am here to assist you in transformation by encouraging, empowering, and embracing you to have an encounter with the one who created you so your gifts can make room for you.
