Expressions From God’s Heart: A Journey of Healing, Hope, and Faith Challenges by Bernail Fluellen
Bernail Fluellen made the leap of faith into business and ministry following a career with a Fortune 500 company for over 13 years as an industry leader. She had high hopes for exploring God’s heart in new ways with the launch of her creative tech-friendly design company BeFaith Inspirations, LLC, and ministry, Women Letting God Move, INC. Instead, she went through one of the most challenging periods of her life, marred by emotional ups and downs, losses, grief, failure, and much more. Fluellen discovered later that everything was divinely ordained.
As Fluellen spent more time with God after feeling led to do so, she experienced healing, joy, encouragement, hope, and answers through everyday life events, dreams, visions, and more. “Walking with God daily to encounter His heart is a continual journey,” Fluellen explains. “It’s amazing that what we view as a wrong turn in experiencing God for ourselves can be the very thing He uses to get us closer and closer to His heart. The closer we get to His heart, the more we can hear His and see ours.” During Fluellen’s encounter with God, He instructed and anointed her to begin writing to share with others what He revealed to her in the secret place during one of the most crucial times in her life.
In her new book, Expressions From God’s Heart , Fluellen shares written expressions of prayer, heartfelt messages from God, faith challenges, scriptural truths, and declarations to help readers hear, redefine, discover, and stand boldly in the freedom expression of their authentic voice. Each daily devotional elevates and embraces the voice of God through personal everyday life experiences, making room for discovering a new level of healing and hope again.
Fluellen tells me that the more healed our hearts are, the better we can hear God personally. She also believes that when we let go, trust in God, and realize that His desires are far greater than our own, the barriers that have held us back from our complete healing will fall away.”God’s will for us is to live our best-healed life. Trust His heart to love you well and heal every part of you.”
Fluellen’s emphasis on healing and hearing God’s voice inspired my next question. Since God always speaks to us, I asked her why she felt we sometimes miss His voice as women of faith. “In many cases, we miss God’s voice because we are so busy with our day-to-day lives that we neglect to hear Him speak,” she explains. “God is always speaking. In the process of learning and growing in Christ, emerging ourselves in God’s Word enhances and amplifies the voice of God in our life. To know God’s Word is to know His voice. When we know the Word, we understand God’s heart. And when we understand God’s heart, we can hear His voice speaking to us for our personal lives and others, Fluellen says”.
Also in Fluellen’s book readers will find faith challenges. “The faith challenges in my book are written challenges that will stretch your faith to believe God for grander treasures, miracles, and heart desires through practical application, where your tangible grasp for the fearless possessing of your inheritance becomes a real reality not just for someone else but for you and your household too.”
Fluellen concludes with a faith challenge. “Create an intimate space with God by reading His Word. As you come into greater awareness of the many ways God speaks to you, your heart will be enlightened. As you trust God, you will hear Him daily.”
