“My faith, fostered by family and friends, is what inspired me to love and serve others in Jesus’ name. It’s what I am called to do,” Diane shares with earnest conviction. “One person, one moment in time, it all matters; to them, to me, to the Lord. The impact is profound.”
Diane’s commitment to her calling is reflected in her full-time work at NYUHC and her volunteer work with a faith-based International Disaster Assistance Response team. These roles allow her to meet the critical needs of victims of war, poverty, famine, disease, and natural disasters by providing healthcare, humanitarian aid, and hope.
Beyond her professional commitment, Diane founded Celebrating Women LLC, a global platform that amplifies women’s voices and celebrates their influence and impact. From hosting events and speaking internationally to publishing a unifying collection of interviews, Diane continues demonstrating that every woman is a role model.
“The Celebrating Women movement grew and now includes a planner/journal featuring inspirational quotes from the interviews, a scripture edition, a digital magazine, a podcast, and a TV show,” she explains.
Diane’s faith guides her decision-making and actions in her personal and professional life, leading her with compassion, love, grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, kindness, and joy. She believes that her skills, knowledge, and experience in healthcare are gifts from God, meant to be shared to help others.
“It is a privilege to be with people in their time of need, and I’ve come to understand that their time of need can and does include the need to be heard, to be seen, to be valued, to be empowered, to hope, as well as to heal,” Diane shares. “This is where the purpose of Celebrating Women converges with my work as a nurse and creates impact.”
Looking to the future, Diane has ambitious plans. “I plan to write a book about the medical missions I’ve been part of for the last decade, incorporating the Scriptures that brought me through those difficult times,” she outlines. Her ambition extends to leveraging her platform as an author, TV host, and international speaker to create experiences that spark engagement, enrich lives, and empower women.
“There is power in our collective story; there is hope, healing, empowerment, and celebration!” she enthuses. Her ultimate goal is to inspire women to become fearless and free – a gift born of faith.
“My faith teaches me that my identity is in Christ and who He says I am; a beloved child of God. That is freedom! I am free to be who I am, who I am becoming, and who I am called to be,” Diane says.
